Doda, March 18: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed J&K, Anand Jain Tuesday conducted his maiden inspection visit to IRP 5th Battalion at Beoli, Doda, to assess the unit’s operational preparedness and infrastructure. He was accompanied by Rajinder Singh, SSP APCR Jammu, and was warmly received by Afroz Ahmad, Commandant IRP-5th Battalion and Sandeep Mehta, SSP Doda.
On his arrival, ADGP Jain was presented with a ceremonial Guard of Honour at the Unit Quarter Guard by a contingent of unit personnel. As part of the visit, he participated in a plantation drive and laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial to honour the valiant personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. During his interaction with officers and personnel, the ADGP stressed the importance of discipline, punctuality, and physical fitness. He directed officers to restart PT sessions, refresher courses, and outdoor training to enhance personnel’s physical endurance for handling challenging situations effectively. Addressing a special darbar, ADGP Jain highlighted the risks associated with a sedentary lifestyle and urged personnel to engage in more physical activities to maintain their well-being. He also emphasised the need for regular medical check-ups for all unit personnel. In line with modernisation efforts, he encouraged the adoption of the E-Office system to streamline administrative processes, reduce paperwork, and enhance efficiency in routine office procedures. The ADGP also visited B-Coy of the unit stationed at DPL Doda, where he interacted with officers and officials and reviewed security measures in place. His visit reaffirmed the commitment of the J&K Armed Police to maintaining high professional standards, operational readiness and the welfare of its personnel.
