AC approves construction of 125-bedded hospital at Budgam

Srinagar, Sept 13:  In a significant move aimed at improving healthcare accessibility, the Administrative Council (AC), led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has granted Administrative Approval for the construction of a state-of-the-art 125-bed hospital in Reshipora, Budgam. This essential healthcare facility, estimated to cost Rs 49.32 Crore, is poised to bring a new era of quality healthcare to the region.
The meeting among others was attended by Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor; Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir; and Dr Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor, highlighting the significance of this milestone.
The forthcoming hospital will not only elevate healthcare standards for the local populace but also pave the way for employment opportunities for a diverse range of professionals, including medics, paramedics, and skilled and unskilled workers.
One of the key benefits of this hospital is its capacity to address the rising influx of patients, offering much-needed relief to the sizable population residing in and around the Budgam district. 
With an unwavering commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare solutions, the construction of the 125-bed hospital in Reshipora, Budgam, is a significant stride towards ensuring better healthcare access for all.
 
 
AC gives nod to major tourist attraction at Jmu
Vertical lift from Peerkho to Mubarak Mandi completes tourist-pilgrim circuit 
In a significant development, the Administrative Council (AC), chaired by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has granted administrative approval for the installation of a vertical lift from Peerkho Station to the historic Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex in Jammu. This ambitious project is set to enhance tourism and connectivity in the region and is estimated to cost ₹27.00 crores.
The meeting among others was attended by Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor; Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir; and Dr. Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, IAS Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor, marked a milestone in bolstering the tourist infrastructure of Jammu.
The vertical lift is poised to link the iconic Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex with the Peerkho Station of the Jammu Ropeway Project, facilitating seamless access to various tourist and pilgrimage destinations. This comprehensive circuit will offer tremendous convenience to visitors, including pilgrims and tourists eager to explore attractions such as the Jammu Ropeway Project, Peerkho Temple, Mahamaya Temple, Bahu Fort, Bagh-e-Bahu, and Bawe wali Mata Temple.
The lift will provide effortless connectivity from the Mubarak Mandi Complex to three other Pracheen temples and other notable tourist sites in the Jammu District. It is expected to be a significant draw for pilgrims visiting the revered Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, creating a complete religious circuit.
This visionary project is set to boost heritage and pilgrimage tourism, augment the revenue generated by the Jammu Ropeway Project, and create employment opportunities in the region.
The project will be divided into two sections, each featuring a vertical rise of 38 and 30 meters. Two footbridges with spans of 34 and 30 meters, respectively, will be constructed as part of this development. The project will encompass a Base Station, an Intermediate Station, an Upper Station, and state-of-the-art capsule-type cabins that offer panoramic views of the picturesque surroundings. Additionally, parking facilities will be available at the Intermediate Station.
