Srinagar, May 06: A massive fire broke out in the Aali Kadal area of old city Srinagar on Saturday claiming the life of a 55-year-old woman and damaging two residential houses. The incident has left the local residents shocked and saddened.
The fire broke out early in the morning, according to fire and emergency officials, and quickly devoured the two residences. The cause of the fire is unknown, and an investigation is underway.
Nafeeza, a 55-year-old woman, was discovered dead in the kitchen during the incident, according to investigators. The cause of her death is unknown, and investigations are ongoing.
“The local authorities and the fire department were immediately informed about the incident, and firefighters were deployed to the site. It took several hours for the firefighters to bring the fire under control.”
The incident has once again highlighted the need for proper fire safety measures in the city. Srinagar has been witnessing a surge in fire incidents over the past few months, with dozens of structures gutted and properties worth millions of rupees being destroyed.
Fire and emergency personnel have urged households to take the appropriate procedures to avoid such incidents. Residents in the area are in shock and mourning as a result of the occurrence. The loss of a precious life, as well as the damage to the houses, has caused enormous anguish to the deceased’s family and the afflicted residents.
The local community has rallied to give sympathies and support to the bereaved family. They have urged the authorities to take the necessary actions to prevent similar situations in the future and to protect the citizens’ safety.
The incident is a tragic reminder of the need for proper fire safety measures in Srinagar and other cities. The loss of life and property is a huge loss, and the authorities must take necessary steps to prevent such incidents and ensure the safety of the residents.
