Pulwama, May 12: National President of NGO Vishal Bharat Sansthan, Dr Rajeev has appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to participate in large numbers in the ongoing parliamentary elections.
With the elections underway, Dr Rajeev emphasised the crucial role every individual plays in safeguarding democracy. “The greatest festival of democracy has begun in India and a collective effort is required to uphold the democratic values,” he said.
As politicians vie for electoral victory, he underscored the significance of each citizen exercising their right to franchise. “Our mission is to ensure maximum participation in the election,” Dr Rajeev said, emphasising the non-partisan stance of Vishal Bharat Sansthan.
Irrespective of political affiliations, he urged citizens to prioritise their duty as Indians by casting their votes and inspiring others to do the same.
Addressing the Jammu and Kashmir branch of Vishal Bharat Sansthan functioning under Dr Ishfaq, Dr Rajeev called for proactive measures to educate the populace on the importance of voting. He urged the organisation to undertake door-to-door campaigns and distribute pamphlets, stressing the pivotal role of informed voter participation.
Drawing attention to the practicalities of voting, he encouraged citizens to overcome any inconveniences they may encounter, emphasising the transformative power of their votes.
“Your vote can make a difference in choosing a good government,” he reminded, citing past instances where democratic participation led to the progress and unity of the nation.
“Do not underestimate the impact of your vote,” he urged, rallying citizens to seize the opportunity to shape the future of the nation through active participation in the democratic process.
