Srinagar, May 11: J&K Peoples Conference President, Sajad Gani Lone on Saturday extended his heartfelt appreciation to the members of the Jammu & Kashmir Pahari Cultural and Welfare Forum for their “endorsement and unwavering support” in the forthcoming Parliamentary elections in Baramulla LS seat.
In a statement, Sajad Lone emphasized the pivotal nature of this support, highlighting the invaluable backing of Chairman Raja Aijaz Ali, Abdul Majeed Zindadil, Masood Ahmed, Abdul Rasheed Mogul, Irshad Ahmed, Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, Muneer Mungral, Azam Khan among others.
He noted that their collective endorsement will significantly amplify the voice of the Pahari community, advocating for progressive change and equitable representation.
“As the former Social Welfare Minister, I spearheaded pivotal initiatives to address the longstanding grievances of the Pahari community. Increasing reservation in jobs and admissions from 2% to 4% and many such initiatives stand as a testament to my unwavering commitment to inclusivity and social justice,” he said
Lone added that the Peoples Conference expresses sincere gratitude to the Pahari Cultural and Welfare Forum for their trust and support, and reaffirmed his steadfast commitment to advancing the interests of all constituents in Baramulla.
