2 Kashmiri Radiographers share insights at AIIMS Bhopal’s NCISRT 2023 event

Srinagar, Dec 23: Two Kashmiri radiographers, Bilal Ahmad Dar from SKIMS Soura and Syed Nahida from GMC Anantnag, representing the ISRT Jammu & Kashmir Radiographers & Technologists Team, attended the 7th National Conference of the Indian Society of Radiographers and Technologists (NCISRT 2023) held on 16-17 December in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
The conference, which brought over 600 attendees from different parts of the country and abroad, was organised by Radiodiagnosis and Imaging Department of AIIMS Bhopal.
Among the panel of speakers were globally recognized names such as ISRRT President Dr. Nepapong Pongnapong, Global Director of ISRT Edward Chan, Dimitris Katsifarkis, CEO of ISRT, and Hashim Al Awadhi, President of Radiographers Society of Emirates, Dubai.
The sessions encompassed a wide spectrum of topics within radiation sciences, featuring discussions on Evidence-Based Practice & Identification of Research Priorities in Radiography.
Syed Nahida addressed the topic of Vesicovaginal calculus, an uncommon fusion of VVF & Imaging Strategies, while Bilal Ahmad Dar focused on Evidence-Based Practice & Identifying Research Priorities in Radiography.
Besides, engaging talks revolved around the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in radiology, emphasizing patient-centered radiology, and elucidating the criticality of cutting-edge technologies in clinical decision-making for optimized patient care.
Delhi’s renowned Radiologist Padmashree Dr. Harsh Mahajan, Dr. Sunil Malik (President of AIIMS Bhopal), and Professor (Dr.) Ajay Singh (CEO and Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal) added eminence to the conference.
Dr. Malik lauded the successful execution of the event, while Professor Singh underscored the pivotal role of advancements in shaping the future of the field.
Expressing their insights, the ISRT Jammu & Kashmir team shared how their interaction with international luminaries profoundly enriched their understanding of the latest advancements and best practices in Radiology, Radiography, Radiotherapy, and Nuclear Medicine.
Their commitment to utilizing the gained insights to enhance patient-centred care services in Jammu & Kashmir stood as proof of the conference’s effectiveness in encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration among medical professionals.
