Srinagar, Apr 27: To streamline operations and facilitate the smooth conduct of official business, the Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday issued an order to ensure the availability of staff at both the Civil Secretariat locations in Srinagar and Jammu.
As per the order, a copy of which lies with Rising Kashmir, the Civil Secretariat will continue to operate in both Srinagar and Jammu, with administrative Secretaries tasked with ensuring smooth operations at both locations.
The order reads that administrative Secretaries are required to be available at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar starting from May 1, 2024. However, they will attend the Civil Secretariat in Jammu as needed.
It further reads that the Administrative Department will determine the availability of staff at the Civil Secretariat, ensuring minimal disruption to official business and only shifting staff when necessary.
The Estates Department will provide accommodation to officers and officials as needed, based on requisitions from the respective Administrative Departments, it added.
