Jammu, Mar 21: Ritika Trehan, Chief Spokesperson of BJP Mahila Morcha in Jammu and Kashmir UT, on Thursday embarked on a vigorous door-to-door campaign in support of Jugal Kishore, BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate from Jammu.
She engaged with fellow residents to advocate for informed decision-making in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and highlighted the myriad welfare schemes and programs initiated by Prime Minister Modi’s government.
During the campaign, Ritika discussed the “visionary policies” and “transformative initiatives” led by the Modi administration for the holistic betterment of the nation. From economic reforms to social welfare programs, she underscored the government’s unwavering commitment to fostering inclusive growth and uplifting the lives of every citizen. She emphasized the importance of active citizenship and urged constituents to exercise their democratic right in favor of BJP candidates, aligning with the aspirations and welfare of the people of Jammu.
Ritika emphasized, “Today’s campaign is not just about supporting candidates; it’s about advocating for a future built on the principles of progress, inclusivity, and prosperity for all. By engaging with our neighbours and fellow citizens, we reaffirm our collective resolve to shape a better tomorrow for ourselves and generations to come.”
The BJP leader said the door-to-door campaign aims at proactive engagement in grassroots democracy, showcasing a commitment to fostering informed decision-making and advocating for the welfare of the people of Jammu. She said, “The PM’s welfare schemes for the poor are realizing the goal of making the nation self-reliant. These schemes are a guarantee of making the country developed and are working to change and raise people’s standard of living.”
Ritika also observed that the Congress has a history of dividing the country, and even today, it continues to do so. She criticized Rahul Gandhi for associating with members of the Tukde-Tukde gang who “advocated for the country’s disintegration”. She questioned the Congress party’s right to talk about uniting India while aligning with those opposed to the nation’s interests.
