Bombay Stock Exchange inaugurates skill-based training on Mutual Fund in GDC Kathua

Jammu, Nov 09: Career Counselling and Placement Cell, Govt Degree College Kathua in collaboration with Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd started inaugurated Skill-Based Training Program on Mutual Fund for pass out and final year students of GDC, Kathua. 
A formal inaugural session of the program was organised Wednesday in the college. The training programme is as per the “Mission Youth” initiative of the Government of J&K UT for upgrading skills of youth in non-conventional economics sector like Banking and Financial Services having high employability potential.
Prof. Sumanesh, who inaugurated and addressed the maiden batch of over 40 students stressed on the need of such type of skill courses for the younger generations for self employment which is also the demand of NEP-2020. He congratulated the Convener and members of Career Counselling and Placement Cell for taking this initiative by collaborating with BSE.
Prof. Rakesh Singh, Convener, Career Counselling and Placement cell made the students aware about the course and said that this program has been designed to attract bright young graduates/doing graduation who want to build a career in Banking Industry/Mutual Fund. He said it is a 15-day course with 3 hours training session per day. “This training course will help students to clear NISM certificate examination which will make students eligible for jobs in banks. After the Course, the BSE will provide certificate to all enrolled students. If students want, they can go for NISM examination, which will give them another certificate after passing that examination,” he said.
Resource Person of the event Kamal K. Sharma highlighted the role of Mutual fund Industry in India and across the world.
