Udhampur, Dec 22: A two-day training program on “Karmayogi Police – custodians of society” commenced here on Thursday.
Mission Karmayogi is the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building which aims to create a competent civil service rooted in Indian ethos, with a shared understanding of India’s priorities, working in harmony for effective and efficient public service delivery. The idea behind the scheme is to bring about a change in the attitude and skill set of government employees.
This is the 12th course held in the academy. The training program is being conducted by master trainer Suraj Singh, Dy.SP, Assistant Director (Trg/R&D) SKPA. 25 officials of J&K Police are to be trained in the eighth module as per the workbook provided by the Capacity Building Commission.
Speaking on the occasion, Singh said the course will go a long way in shaping the career of the participants in the perspective of positive attitude and inculcating ‘Seva Bhav’ in dealing with the general public. “The more we become Karmayogi Policepersons, the more our Seva Shakti will manifest itself, the more positive impact we can make on society,” he said.
