Srinagar, Oct 02: The 1st Open Water Fin-swimming National Championship 2022 organized by Underwater Sports Association of- India (USAI) in collaboration with Underwater Sports Association J&K concluded at Water Sports Centre Nigeen Srinagar.
As per official more than 50 participants from different parts of the country participated in the championship and showcase talent.
On the day two long events including 1km Bi Fins, 3km Bi Fins and 1km Mono Fins boys and girls were held.
MohsinFayaz Shah bagged three gold, one silver, one bronze while Mohammad DaaibBhat won three gold medals, Mohammad EisaKozgar won one gold and two silver medals, Zaib Bin Riyaz won one gold and one bronze medals.
While Nabeela Khan won four gold medals, Sheikh Momin Bin Tariq won two gold and one bronze and one silver, MadhavDovadiya won four gold medals and BaviyaMatha won three gold medals.
Yashtiwari won two gold medals and Mushtaq Ahmad wani secured one gold medal, while Sheikh Rashid won two silver and one bronze medals in different events and age categories.
The championships was held under the supervision of following Technical Officials from Underwater Sports Association of India Santosh Kumar, Deshmukh, Edna Sharma, Zahid Iqbal, MudasirChesti, YasirMakhdoomi, Javeed Ahmad, ZahidHussain, VilayatHussain, Tahir Hussain.
KuldeepPatil Sr. Secretary General USAI Distributed Prizes among the medal winners.
Meanwhile, ErRiyaz Ahmad Khan, Dr Sheikh Tariq, ErMushtaqWani, ErMaqsood Ahmad, RiyazWani were also present on the occasion.
At last, Ahsan Ali Event Organiser presented a vote of thanks to the Department of Tourism Kashmir, Health, and Officials of Swim N Survival Society-K and Nigeen Club.
