On a reliable input, Srinagar police laid special Nakas alongwith 24RR in the general area of Palpora Srinagar.
However, a suspect upon seeing the police & army party tried to escape towards paddy fields near Palpora Bridge, who was tactfully apprehended on spot.
As per official sources, the person revealed his name as Junaid Ahmad Parray S/o Farooq Ahmad Parray R/o Baripora Nawakadal.
Meanwhile, upon his personal search, one pistol ,one magazine and 05 pistol rounds were recovered from his possession.
A Case under FIR number 188/2022 u/s 18,20 UAPA and 7,25 of Arms Act has been registered at Safakadal Police station.
