Hybrid terrorist held in Awantipora

Srinagar, Nov 08: The Jammu and Kashmir Police Tuesday claimed that they have arrested a hybrid terrorist of Lasker-e-Taiba (Let) in Ladoo area of south Kashmir Awantipora.
An official spokesman said that Police along with security forces during naka checking at Ladoo Awantipora arrested a hybrid terrorist linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT.
“Incriminating materials including a grenade was recovered from his possession. Police identified the arrested terrorist as Abid Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Aziz Sheikh, resident of Satpokharen,” he said.
As per Police during the preliminary investigation, it came to fore that the arrested hybrid terrorist was in close touch with LeT commanders and was involved in transportation of arms and ammunition.
The spokesman said accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 69/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Khrew and further investigation has been taken up.
