Srinagar, June 26: BJP youth leader Manzoor Bhat on Monday said he has taken note of the reports highlighting the shortage of water supply in the valley, particularly during this scorching summer season.
“In light of the prevailing circumstances, we hereby request the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, PHE Department Kashmir to take immediate action and ensure that water supply is provided on a priority basis,” Bhat said in a statement issued here.
He said the soaring temperatures have exacerbated the need for adequate water supply across the region. He acknowledged the importance of access to clean water, especially during this time of heightened demand, saying it is crucial to address this issue promptly and ensure that residents have access to sufficient water resources for their daily needs.
“We urge the LG administration to initiate proactive measures to overcome the water scarcity and guarantee an uninterrupted water supply to all affected areas,” the statement said.
