Bandipora, Apr 11: At least five houses were damaged in a devastating fire which broke out in Tulail valley of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Sub district Magistrate Gurez, Mudassir Ahmad while confirming damage to at least 05 houses in the blaze, said that the fire broke out in Gratnallah Tulail village located adjacent to the LoC.
An official told Rising Kashmir that the team of fire officials, army and civil administration reached on spot soon after getting information. Since the houses were made of wood, it was challenging to control the fire”, he added.
They said that fire started in one residential house and engulfed at least four others in no time however the flames were doused with the help of fire tenders.
The reason for the fire was not immediately known; the official said adding that there were no reports regarding injury to any person in the incident.
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Bandipora told Rising Kashmir that a team of revenue along with the officials of sub district administration were deputed to assess the damages and immediate relief was provided to the victims.
