Govt establishes ‘Official Language Cell’ in GAD

Srinagar, 08 Aug: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday ordered the establishment of an Official Languages Cell in the General Administration Department.
According to the order, services of seven officials presently posted in the department / offices as indicated against each area placed at the disposal of the official language’s sections in the GAD, subject to the conditions that they shall retain lien, seniority and promotion prospects in their parent department organisation.
Further the five officials of erstwhile J&K Legislative Council, presently deployed at Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Director Prosecution J&K, in terms of Government order are hereby recalled back from their present place of deployment for further duties with immediate effect on the same terms and conditions as contained in their official deployment order.
It further said that the salary of the officials of Urdu Coordination Cell, J&K and Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages shall be drawn from their respective departments, organisations in production of Bio metric attendance certificate from Official Language Cell, GAD.
