Kishtwar, July 13: National Conference senior leader Ajeet Bhagat on Thursday said Jammu and Kashmir has suffered the most under the BJP rule and that the policies of the Central government and the Union Territory administration have created public resentment.
Bhagat in a statement said that the ideological battle against the BJP and its policies towards Jammu and Kashmir would be intensified ahead of the assembly elections. “The National Conference has always stood for secularism and unity in diversity and has taken equal care of every section of society while the BJP believes in division and polarization for vote bank politics,” he said.
Ajeet praised the people of the Kishtwar, Doda and Ramban districts of the Chenab Valley Zone for “bravely facing hardships” and standing up for the nation and secular values. He assured that the NC will give representation to all sections, especially the SC, ST and OBC to the best of their ability in the distribution of tickets.
Bhagat assured the people of the Chenab Valley Zone that their issues would be given priority after the NC forms the government in the future. “The Kishtwar, Doda, and Ramban districts of Chenab Valley Zone have always been a stronghold of the National Conference and will reject the divisive policies of the BJP,” he said, adding, “The NC will always stand with every section including the SC, ST, OBC and the Sikh minority community for their protection and promotion of their rights.”
