Anantnag, June 03: BHSS Bijbehara organized a cricket match as part of their “Janbhagidari Activities” Calendar, which focuses on promoting foundation literacy and numeracy. The match took place between the Green House (10th Class) and Blue House (9th Class) students at the School Cricket ground.
The event was inaugurated by the respected Principal, Mrs. Nasreena Akhter, along with Nazir Ahmad Veeri, the Head of the Secondary Wing, and other staff members. Mrs. Nasreena Akhter highlighted the importance of such activities in providing students with holistic development, benefiting both their academic and sports achievements. She encouraged all students to actively participate in sports events to make use of the available infrastructure.
In the match, the Green House batted first and scored 118 runs within the allotted overs. The Blue House, in their reply, was unable to chase the target, resulting in the Green House emerging as the winners. Makaram Nasir’s outstanding performance earned him the title of the Man of the Match. The sports department of the school organized the event, showcasing their commitment to promoting sports among the students.
