Budgam Police issues traffic advisory in view of Muharram processions

Jammu and Kashmir Police On Saturday issued a traffic advisory in view of 11th Muharram corresponding to 30th July 2023,  scheduled to be carried out in the central Kashmir Budgam district. 

On 11th Muharram (30th of July-2023) major Muharram procession (Zuljenah Shareef) will be carried out in Magam Town which will result in blockade of Narbal-Tangmarg road (NTR) in Magam Town. As such general public is informed to follow the below mentioned routes as traffic diversion on the said day.

01. Beerwah bound traffic coming from Narbal will be diverted at Kanihama Chowk via Batpora, Roshanabad (Bridge), S.K Pora, Rudbugh-Beerwah.

02. Gulmarg-Tangmarg-Kunzer bound traffic coming from Narbal will be diverted at Kanihama via Railway Station Mazhama-Nooripora-Archinderhama-GundKhawaja Qasim-Kogamdara-Ahmadpora towards Chichilora on NTR (Gulmarg-Tangmarg route).

03. Srinagar bound traffic from Tangmarg-Gulmarg, Kunzer will be diverted at Chichilora via Kralpora.Magam-Ahmadpora-Kogamdara-Singhpora (NHW).

04. Beerwah bound traffic from Tangmarg-Kunzer will be diverted at Chichilora via Goigam, Budran-Beerwah.

05. Srinagar bound traffic from Beerwah will be diverted at Watamagam crossing via Watamagam-Pethkanihama-Batpora-NTR at Bon-Kanihama.

06. Tangmarg-Gulmarg-Kunzer bound traffic from Beerwah will be diverted at Budran crossing via Budran-Goigam NTR.

Link road from Watamagam crossing up to Batpora Chowk will have one way traffic i,e Watamagam towards Batpora Kanihama NTR.
