Civilian injured in Anantnag militant attack: Police

A civilian was shot at and injured by terrorists in Hassanpora area of Bijbehara hamlet in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said on Friday.

 

In a tweet, Kashmir Zone Police wrote, “#Terrorists fired upon & injured one Asif Ganai S/O Martyr Head Constable Ali Mohd Ganai outside mosque in Hasanpora Tavela area of Bijbehara #Anantnag. He was immidiately shifted to hospital for treatment. Area cordoned off. Further details shall follow.”

 

 

The injured civilian has been identified as Asif Ali Ganai, son of Ali Mohammad Ganai of Hassan Pora Tavela.

 

Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
