Calls for Speedy Completion of Bagh-e-Bahu Dak Bungalow Project

JAMMU, MAY 30: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Saturday directed officers to ensure transparency, accountability and efficiency in public service delivery, stressing that developmental projects must be completed within stipulated timelines.
He warned that delays in execution of public works would be viewed seriously and reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure and improving governance across Jammu and Kashmir.
Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary reviewed the progress of several ongoing development works in Jammu and conducted surprise inspections of key government offices to assess efficiency, accountability and project implementation.
During his visit to Bagh-e-Bahu, the Deputy Chief Minister inspected the ongoing construction of the Dak Bungalow and reviewed the pace and quality of work being executed at the site. Stressing the importance of timely completion, he directed the concerned officials to expedite the execution while strictly adhering to the prescribed quality standards so that the facility is completed within the stipulated timeframe and serves the visitors effectively.
The Deputy Chief Minister also undertook a surprise inspection of the offices of the Chief Engineer, PMGSY Jammu and Chief Engineer, Mechanical and Hospital Engineering Department (M&HED), Jammu. During the inspection, he reviewed the staff attendance and functioning of the offices besides taking stock of the status of ongoing projects being executed by the departments.
The Deputy Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment towards strengthening the public infrastructure and ensuring that development projects are completed in a time-bound manner for the benefit of the people.
Chief Engineer PMGSY, R&B and other senior officers of the concerned departments accompanied the Deputy Chief Minister during the inspections.
