Jammu, Sep 04: Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) general secretary Jammu and spokesperson Vishal Chopra on Monday criticized the J&K Congress chief Vikar Rasool.
In a statement issued here, Vishal said, “Vikar should not forget that the place he is sitting now is because of (DPAP chief) Ghulam Nabi Azad. Vikar was never a stable leader and often used to rattle for having no future in the Congress party. It was Vikar who was always shouting to make a separate political party in J&K but after Azad left Congress and formed his own party, Vikar, who was loyal to Azad, backstabbed him. Being an opportunist, (Vikar) saw his own benefit and grasped the position of PCC president J&K.”
Vikar, afraid of losing his popularity, is levelling false allegations against Azad of his association with BJP and RSS, Chopra said, adding, “Vikar should remember that Ghulam Nabi Azad is the most secular leader of India, who has been awarded Padma Bhushan for his distinguished service of high order and his selfless work and efforts for people of J&K which everyone is aware of. Azad is one of the best leaders in the country.”
