Kupwara, Aug 22: Pi Jam Foundation Pune, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing affordable technology education, partnered with the Indian Army’s Kupwara Terriers to conduct an enlightening workshop for students of Army Goodwill School Wayne.
The workshop was conducted in an effort to bring technology education and innovation to the far-flung areas of Kupwara.
The workshop attended by approximately 50 students ranging from 5th to 12th grade from both AGS Wayne and HAGS schools, was aimed at equipping them with problem-solving skills and design thinking through hands-on experience in building technology prototypes.
The workshop, led by Shoibh, CEO of Pi Jam Foundation Pune, and Molika, responsible for Pi Jam operations in the valley, showcased techniques to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems using subjects like Math and Science.
The event was honored by Major General Girish Kalia, General Officer Commanding of Vajra Division as the chief guest. The workshop also honoured the achievements of Amina Kauser of AGS Wayne, who recently excelled in the NEET exams, highlighting the school’s dedication to academic excellence.
The occasion saw recognition for students who excelled in various inter AGS and Intra AGS co-curricular activities throughout the 2023-2024 academic year. AGS Wayne Kupwara secured the top position in competitions like Painting, Story Writing, Elocution, and Cricket.
The event concluded with an interactive session led by the chief guest, addressing concerns faced by the school administration and emphasizing the Indian Army’s commitment to nurturing the region’s youth for a brighter future.
