Srinagar, Jan 23: Chinar Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai on Tuesday conducted a comprehensive review of the security situation of the Gurez sector of north Kashmir.
He also visited the frontline units in forward areas along the LoC to review the counter infiltration grid and operational preparedness in the Gurez area of Bandipora.
Corps Commander exhorted and motivated troops to remain in a high state of operational readiness and morale in extreme weather conditions and terrain.
The visit is part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen the defensive posture and readiness of the Indian Army along the LoC in the Kashmir region.
Earlier on 18th January, GOC Chinar Corps interacted with elders, families and children in Aishmuqam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
He interacted with elders, families and children and appreciated the community’s continued support towards peace & border tourism and to the Indian Army.
