Momo is one of the main dishes of Ladakh. This dish is originally eaten in Tibet and in some parts of Nepal. Now you can spot a momo stall in every street corner in Jammu & Kashmir including in Srinagar city. Youth also prefer to eat momos. Nowadays, momos are one of the most loved recipes and are found everywhere. Momos have a super soft outer covering with moist and juicy filling and the good part is that they are super easy to make. One can also make it at home within no time. Here is how we can make fried chicken momos. Let’s start:
Ingredients used for fried chicken momos recipe:
• Chicken 500 gm
• Refined flour 2 cups (Maida)
• 2 onions chopped
• Ginger chopped (1 inch piece)
• Green chillies (chopped 2)
• Garlic chopped (5-6 cloves)
• Soya sauce (2 teaspoons)
• Salt
• Ajinomoto
• Refined oil

Preparation of fried chicken momos:
Step 1: Combine flour and salt in a bowl, mix well. Add sufficient water and knead into soft dough and wrap it. Now chop the chicken in a food processor or use a chopping board. Now take a bowl and mix together minced chicken, chopped onions, ginger, green chillies, garlic, soya sauce, salt, name ajinomoto, together and set aside.
Step 2: Divide dough into sixteen small portions. Shape them into balls and roll out thinly. Put the above prepared mixed filling teaspoon in the middle. Bring all edges together to the centre, making small tight pleats.
Step 3: Pinch and twist the pleats to ensure that the momo is closed tightly. Then steam in a steamer for about twenty minutes. After momos cook well, now put it into a bowl. Now take a pan and add refined oil. When it becomes a little hot add momos into it, fry on medium flame and flip them from time to time to avoid the burning of momos.
Note: After momos are done, put it out on a plate. Make sure when you add momos it should be steamed. If you cook plain momos, they will become hard. Now your tasty momos are ready. Now take and serve along with chutney, chilli sauce and tomato-garlic sauce. This is all about yummy fried chicken momos.
