4 dead, six injured in Tangdar road accident

Srinagar, Oct 31: Four people died while six others suffered injuries after the vehicle, they were travelling in rolled down near Netti Gali, Nowgabura, in north Kashmir’s border town Tangdar on Tuesday.
According to reports, a Sumo (JK05C 9679) was on its way to Nawagubra from Tangdar when the driver of the vehicle lost control, resulting in the rollover of the vehicle and causing the death to four people and injuries to six others.
Reportedly, a massive rescue operation was initiated by the locals immediately after the incident. Four people died on the spot, and six injured individuals were transported to the Sub District Hospital Tangdar for treatment.
The deceased persons were identified as Saida Bano, daughter of Wali Mod Awan, resident of Nowagabra, Mohd Sayeed Raina, son of Late Ab Rahman, resident of Nowagabra, Razia Bano, daughter of Manzoor Ahmad Kadlal, resident of Nowagabra, Nusrat Begum, wife of Mohd Idrees Awan, resident of Nowagabra.
The injured persons were identified as Rayaz Ahmad, son of Ab Kareem, resident of Nowagabra Karnah, Mohd Ismail Cheche, son of Raj Mohd, resident of Nowagabra Karnah, Driver Mohd Rafi, son of Mohd Yaseen Shahbangi, resident of Nowagabra Karnah, Rafidha Begum, wife of Manzoor Ahmad Awan, resident of Nowagabra Karnah, Mohd Farooq Babzada, resident of Nowagabra Karnah, Shaheena Begum, wife of Amjid Malik, resident of Nowagabra Karnah, Sarjeela Begum, wife of Manzoor Ahmad Kadlal, resident of Nowagabra Karnah, Adeeba Bano, daughter of Amjid Malik, resident of Nowagabra Karnah, Adeeb Amjid, son of Mohd Amjid Malik, resident of Nowagabra Karnah, Mohd Anis, son of Mohd Amjid Malik, resident of Nowagabra Karnah.
Meanwhile, a doctor at SDH Tangdar confirmed the deaths of four persons and injuries to six others. The doctors mentioned that the four individuals were brought dead to the hospital, and the injured persons are currently receiving treatment.
A pall of gloom descended on the locality as the tragic news spread.
A police officer also confirmed the accident and stated that a case under relevant sections of the law has been registered, and an investigation into this case has been initiated.
