Jammu, Nov 16: Apni Party Provincial Secretary Dr Rohit Gupta along with other leaders of the Party visited Govt Medical College and Hospital, Jammu to enquire about the condition of critically injured persons who were airlifted to Jammu from District Doda following a road mishap that consumed enormous lives when a passenger plunged into a gorge on November 15.
Dr Rohit Gupta was accompanied by Daljit Singh and Om Prakash Dansalia during their visit to the GMC&H Jammu. They met the family members of injured persons to enquire about their present condition while the hospital authorities were requested to provide them with better medical care.
He demanded ex-gratia relief in favour of the affected families in the road mishap.
Meanwhile, he demanded that the overloading of the passenger vehicles plying on Doda – Kishtwar roads should be checked and the licenses of the drivers should also be checked.
Dr Rohit said that the old vehicles should not be allowed to ply on the roads of Chenab Valley as they pose a serious threat to the commuters and passengers.
