Divya D-IPS on Monday assumed the charge as Superintendent of Police Sopore.
On her arrival, the new incumbent was warmly received by Senior Police officers of the Police District and guard of honour was also presented at the District Police Headquarters Sopore.
The outgoing SSP Shabir Nawab-JKPS handed over the baton to the new incumbent in a brief but impressive function.
On assuming the charge the new incumbent held introductory meeting with Police officers of the Police District and impressed upon officers to work with dedication and enthusiasm to mitigate problems faced by the people of Sopore.
She stressed the need for a team work and has directed every officer to have their doors open always for the general public to have easy access to reach out with their problems.
