Srinagar, Sep 29: Sashastra Seema Bal 10 Battalion, Batmaloo on Friday organised an OPD medical camp at Tourist Reception Center (TRC) here as part of its public outreach programme.
Dr Arun Chaudhary, Assistant Commandant (MO) of 10Bn SSB examined and treated 43 people (42 males and one child) and distributed free medicines to the local people of the nearby area.
During the programme, awareness was spread about how to free the country from drug addicts. Guidelines were also issued for the maintenance of hygiene and sanitation.
Commandant 10 Battalion SSB Rohitashwa said such programmes would continue to be in the future. “Such events create a good image of the force and develop a sense of security among the local people and SSB,” he said, adding that the SSB has always been doing its best for the welfare of the local people in the area.
