Srinagar, Sep 29: The city of Srinagar witnessed fervour and festivity as the Eid Milad un-Nabi (SAW) processions graced its streets today. Commencing from various mosques across Srinagar, the procession meandered through the city, drawing throngs of enthusiastic participants.
The procession became a showcase of religious devotion, as attendees fervently offered prayers, chanted hymns, and recited verses from the Holy Quran. Many carried banners and posters embellished with religious messages, reflecting their deep reverence.
A notable feature of the procession was the inclusion of floats and decorated vehicles portraying scenes from the life of the Prophet. These floats were adorned with an array of flowers, lights, and intricate religious motifs, adding to the event’s grandeur.
As the procession wound its way through the city, the numbers continued to swell as people joined in along the route. The atmosphere was electric with joy and enthusiasm, with participants expressing their profound love and respect for the Prophet Mohammad (SAW).
In a heartwarming display of communal harmony, Satnam Singh Sandhu, the convener of the Indian Minorities Foundation (IMF), joined the Muslim community at Sabri Masjid and participated in mass prayers. Thousands of members from the IMF joined their Muslim brethren in these prayers, underscoring the spirit of unity and togetherness.
