Jammu, August 11: The week-long Sanskrit Week Festival–2025, organised by the Central Sanskrit University, Shri Ranbir Campus, Kot-Bhalwal, Jammu, concluded with grandeur today at the Vani Vilas Auditorium.According to a statement issued here, the valedictory function was presided over by Prof. Shreedhar Mishra, Director, while Prof. Satish Kumar Kapoor, Associate Director and Programme Coordinator, supervised and coordinated the entire festival. The proceedings were conducted by Dr. Vipin Bihari Dubey.The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Vedic Mangalacharan, presented by Dr. Anyamani Tripathi, followed by the university’s Kulgeet rendered by the technical team. Prof. Satish Kumar Kapoor delivered the welcome address.The Chief Guest of the event was Monika Sharma, Tehsildar, Kot-Bhalwal. The Guest of Honour was. Punit Kaur, Principal, Army Public School, Jammu, and the Special Guest was Prof. Pritam Chand Shastri. All dignitaries, in their addresses, highly appreciated the active role of Shri Ranbir Campus in promoting Sanskrit language and culture.The Sanskrit Week Festival began on 4 August 2025 with a formal inauguration. On 5 August, Maharaja Ranbir Singh Jayanti was celebrated. A Sanskrit Chaupal was organized on 6 August in the campus. On 7 August, Sanskrit Song Singing and Shloka Recitation Competitions were held. On 8 August, Sanskrit Conversation, Essay Writing, and Debate Competitions took place, followed by a grand Shobha Yatra from the campus to Kangar Morh. On 9 August, a large number of students and teachers participated in the traditional Shravani Upakarma at Jia Pota Ghat, Akhnoor. On 10 August, a Shastriya Competition and Ras-Prashna Competition were organized.The prize distribution was conducted by Dr. Madan Kumar Jha. All students from the campus and participating schools who took part in the week-long activities were felicitated with awards.In his presidential address, Prof. Shreedhar Mishra congratulated all participants, organisers, and faculty members for the success of the festival.
