Bandipora, July 16: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, on Wednesday visited the remote upper-reach village of Buthoo in Bandipora district and presided over a Public Darbar to hear the grievances and demands of the local residents.A statement issued here that on the occasion, residents of Buthoo village presented a detailed memorandum highlighting various developmental issues and pressing demands. These included the resumption of work on the road from Ziarat Buthoo onwards, repair of the Ahmsharief–Buthoo road including construction of protection walls, establishment of a health centre, identification of land for a playground and improvements in drinking water and electricity supply. After giving a patient hearing, the DC assured the villagers that all genuine grievances would be addressed in a time-bound manner. He also sought immediate feedback from the concerned officers regarding the issues raised during the Darbar. Taking serious note of the road connectivity concerns, the DC issued on-the-spot directions to the Executive Engineer, R&B, to expedite the resolution of bottlenecks and ensure timely completion of road works. While interacting with the public, the Deputy Commissioner described Buthoo as one of the most scenic villages in the district and reiterated the administration’s commitment to its holistic development. He assured the locals that their concerns would be prioritized and necessary steps would be taken by the administration to ensure long-term solutions. The DC was accompanied by a team of district and sectoral officers including the Additional Commissioner Development (ACD), Tehsildar Bandipora, Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Bandipora, Block Development Officer (BDO) Bonakoot, Executive Engineers from R&B and Jal Shakti departments as well as officers from KPDCL and other concerned departments
