Jammu, July 6: BSF Senior Secondary School, Jammu, in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Sunday wrapped up a three-day teacher-training programme on “Navchetna – Life Skills and Drug Education for School Children.”A statement issued here said that held from July 2 to July 4, under the chairmanship of Shashank Anand, IG BSF Jammu Frontier, and guided by Principal Dr S K Shukla, the workshop equipped more than 40 educators with tools to deliver structured life-skills lessons and tackle substance-abuse issues in the classroom. Resource persons Pallavi and Pinki of the Society for the Promotion of Youth and Masses (SPYM) led interactive sessions on coping with peer pressure, managing anger and violence, and fostering healthy decision-making. Dr Shukla thanked the Ministry and BSF leadership for supporting initiatives that “keep teachers abreast of evolving student needs and help create safer, more resilient school communities.”
