Eye operation theatre inaugurated at Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre, Jammu

Jammu, June 16: The Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre, Jammu, under the spiritual inspiration of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda, inaugurated its newly established Eye Operation Theatre, a ramp and additional equipment in the Physiotherapy Unit on Monday.

The medical initiative has been made possible with generous support from NHPC Limited under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme. The expanded facilities include a modern Eye Care Unit, remodelled Operation Theatre, and enhanced infrastructure like Ramp and Canopy construction, and KMECT and Avanti Foundation, USA making the Centre more accessible and efficient in delivering quality care.
The event graced by the presence of Swami Bodhasarananda, Assistant General Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Headquarters, Belur Math, Shri Ram Swaroop, Executive Director, NHPC

Guest Remarks:
Swami Bodhasarananda on the occasion said, “This Eye Operation Theatre reflects our mission to serve humanity with love and care, bringing light to those in need.”
Shri Ram Swaroop (NHPC): “We are honoured to partner in this noble cause through our CSR. Health is the foundation of a strong and peaceful society.”
Swami Sarvalokananda: “The medical services by Ramakrishna Mission are a model of selfless service and medical excellence.”
Swami Yajnadharananda: “With this facility, we reaffirm our mission of ‘Shiva Jnane Jiva Seva’ – serving the Divine in all beings.”
The inauguration ceremony included Vedic chanting, lighting of the ceremonial lamp, a tour of the upgraded facilities, felicitation to the contributors and interaction with the community and medical professionals.
The program was attended by more than 150 medical professionals, devotees and well-wishers.
