Ganderbal, May 25: Amid prevailing concerns following the recent Pahalgam terror attack the Dharma Trust has called upon devotees to participate in the upcoming Annual Kheerbhawani Mela in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district without any fear.

The mela, scheduled to be held on June 3 at the revered Mata Kheerbhawani temple in Tullamulla, draws thousands of devotees from across the country each year. It is considered one of the most significant religious events for the Kashmiri Pandit community.

In a heartfelt appeal, the Dharma Trust urged devotees not to let apprehensions deter them from taking part in the spiritual celebrations. “Mata will protect her devotees,” said the temple manager during the ongoing preparations and cleaning of the sacred shrine. “There is no need to panic. We invite everyone to come and seek the blessings of Mata Kheerbhawani and allow us the honour to serve you.”

This year, unlike the previous ones, the trust is making special efforts to encourage participation, reassuring the public about security and spiritual sanctity. The call comes as a message of resilience and faith, emphasizing that the power of devotion should prevail over fear.

Local authorities are also expected to put in place robust security arrangements to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for the devotees during the festival.
The Kheerbhawani Mela stands as a symbol of cultural and spiritual harmony in the region, and the Dharma Trust hopes that this year’s event will witness a significant turnout, reaffirming the enduring bond between the devotees and the divine.
