Jammu, May 11: Under the leadership of Pandit Rajesh Kesri, President of Shiv Sena Hindustan (SSH), J&K, a team of SSH members visited the Government Girls’ High School in Bishnah, where residents from border areas including Triva, Jhoria and Arnia town are temporarily sheltered due to ongoing shelling from Pakistan.
Accompanying Kesri were Balbir Kumar, Balwant Fouji, Vishwanath, Raj Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Darshana Devi, Neeru Devi, Muskaan and other Shiv Sainiks. During the visit, Kesri observed that the government had made satisfactory arrangements for the border residents, including timely meals and proper accommodation. The residents were reported to be peaceful and appreciative of the facilities, with many engaging in bhajans and kiirtans, praying for the safety of Indian soldiers.
Kesri interacted with the people, listened to their concerns and empathised with their plight. Many expressed anxiety over livestock and property left behind in their villages. Appreciating the government’s decision to enforce a ceasefire, Kesri announced that arrangements were underway to transport refugees back to their homes using government vehicles. He further urged the administration to provide a permanent solution by allocating small plots of land for resettlement, which would offer the refugees a sense of security and reduce the burden on the state. He also distributed food items to the children, bringing smiles to their faces. Shiv Sena Hindustan commended the border residents for their resilience and patience during this difficult time, and acknowledged the government’s support efforts while calling for long-term rehabilitation measures.
