Jammu, May 05: Apni Party Provincial President Manjit Singh on Monday led a delegation of party leaders to visit residents in the border areas of Ramgarh.
These residents are currently facing threats of possible firing by the Pakistani Army from across the border, as has occurred in several other areas along the LoC, the party said in a statement issued here.
The party leaders met with the residents and expressed full solidarity with them during these challenging times. After receiving firsthand feedback from the vulnerable areas, Manjit Singh urged the administration to provide bunkers and construct underground shelters for the residents so that they can protect themselves in case the Pakistani Army resorts to firing in this area as well.
He said, “The people living along the LoC in the Ramgarh area are apprehensive about potential Pakistani firing and shelling, as similar incidents are ongoing in various other areas along the LoC. They feel unsafe and urgently require bunkers and fortified shelters for their protection in case of an emergency. I urge the government to ensure the construction of bunkers and underground shelters for these residents.”
During the visit, Singh was accompanied by senior party leaders, Sahil Bharti, Manmohan Singh, Balakar Singh, Puran Singh, Rajkumar, Shubam Chowdhary, Pinky, and others.
