Apni Party raises water, sanitation issues in Jammu

Jammu, May 04: Apni Party leaders in Jammu gathered on Sunday to discuss pressing public issues and party matters. The meeting, organised by J&K president of the Trade Union Aijaz Kazmi, was held at Ward 5 (East Constituency) in Jammu.
During the meeting, the party leaders had thorough discussions on certain party matters and made some decisions to address these issues, an official statement issued here said.
Besides discussing party matters, the leaders expressed concern over certain public issues that the administration is paying no heed to. Among these issues are the lack of drinking water supply and poor sanitation at Ward 5 (East Constituency) of Jammu city.
Speaking on the occasion, Manjit Singh said the Apni Party is committed to highlighting public issues to ensure they are addressed as soon as possible.
“It is a well-known fact that residents at Ward 5 (East Constituency) in Jammu city are facing an acute shortage of drinking water, along with inadequate sanitation facilities in some localities. I urge the concerned departments to take immediate action and make the necessary arrangements to resolve these issues,” he added.
The prominent party leaders present at the meeting included State President of the Trade Union Aijaz Kazmi, District President of Jammu Urban Abhay Bakaya, Senior District Vice President of Jammu Urban Vaibhav Mattoo, Provincial Vice President of the Women Wing Neelam Gupta, District President of the Minority Wing Dalbir Singh, General Secretary of District Jammu Urban Mohammad Asif, and others. The meeting was organised by Aijaz Kazmi.
