KVK Anantnag initiates Skill Training programmes to empower Rural Youth

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Anantnag, SKUAST-Kashmir has embarked on a significant initiative to enhance the skill set of rural youth through a series of training programmes under Skill Training of Rural Youth (STRY) in collaboration with State Agricultural Management Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), DOE-SKUAST-Kashmir and MANAGE-Hyderabad.

These skill training programmes are specifically aimed to empower rural youth including women and tribals.

The first programme titled ‘Empowering Tribal Women through Artisan Skills’ commenced on 12 February, 2024 at Gujar Basti Zamalgam, Doru, marking the beginning of this impactful series. Today, another training programme titled ‘Entrepreneurship Opportunities in Integrated Farming System (IFS)’ was held at KVK-Anantnag campus.
