Jammu, Mar 29: Right-arm off spinner Praful Dhar spun web around the rival batsmen, capturing five wickets to power Tawi Cricket Academy to an emphatic victory by 3 wickets over MIER XI in a 40-Over Practice Match at MA Stadium, here on Saturday.
MIER XI scored a modest total of 126 runs in 24.5 overs. Dheeraj and Adhyan Bhushan contributed 22 and 19 runs to the total respectively, while none of the other batters crossed the double figure mark. For Tawi Cricket Academy, Praful Dhar was the wrecker-in-chief who took 5 wickets by conced-ing 33 runs in his 8 overs, while Vansh took 4 wickets by giving away 22 runs in 6.4 overs.
In reply, Tawi Cricket Academy chased the target in 26.3; over by losing 7 wickets, thus won the match by 3 wickets. Piyush Deoria (19) Atul Watloo (18*) and Chandan (13*) were the main con-tributors. Anmol was the pick of the bowlers for MIER XI, who bagged 3 wickets by conceding 20 runs in his 5 overs, while Jatin Sharma claimed 2 wickets. Praful was adjudged as the Player of the Match for his fabulous bowling show. Sunil Kumar is the Coach of Tawi Cricket Academy, while Deepak Dogra is the Coach of MIER XI.
