Srinagar, Mar 18: Minister for FCS&CA, Transport, Youth Services and Sports, Information Technology, Science and Technology, ARI & Training Satish Sharma on Tuesday informed the Assembly that a total of 171 route permits were issued in Samba district over the past two years. This included both constituency-wise permits and permits issued under the All J&K category.
The statement came in response to a question raised by Senior BJP leader and MLA Samba, Surjeet Singh Slathia, who sought detailed information about the total number of route permits issued in the district during the last two years.
Sharma responded with a detailed breakdown of the permits issued across the district. “In the Vijaypur constituency, a total of 28 permits were issued, with 14 granted in 2023-24 and another 14 in 2024-25,” he said. He further explained, “In the Samba constituency, 14 permits were issued, with 10 granted in 2023-24 and 4 in 2024-25.” Regarding the Ramgarh constituency, the Minister stated, “9 permits were issued, with 4 issued in 2023-24 and 5 in 2024-25.”
The Minister added that in addition to the constituency-specific figures, “120 route permits were issued under the All J&K category—63 in 2023-24 and 57 in 2024-25.”
“Combining both categories, the total number of route permits issued in Samba district over the past two years stands at 171,” Sharma told the House.
