Pulwama, Mar 17: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has clarified the status of the long-pending recruitment process for Junior Assistant and Data Entry Operator (DEO) posts at SKIMS, Soura, and Government Medical College (GMC) Bemina.
Responding to an un-starred question raised by MLA Rajpora, Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Mir, in the Legislative Assembly, the Minister Incharge of Health & Medical Education stated that the selection process for these posts was disrupted due to administrative decisions.
The Minister informed that SKIMS, Soura, advertised Junior Assistant posts in 2020, and the Typing Test was conducted in 2021. However, before the written examination could be held, the Administrative Council, in its decision No. 1/1/2022 dated January 29, 2022, directed the withdrawal of posts where the selection process had not been completed. As a result, 11 Junior Assistant posts were withdrawn and later referred to the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) for fresh advertisement and recruitment.
Regarding Data Entry Operator posts at GMC Bemina, the Minister stated that these, along with several other positions, were withdrawn under Government Order No. 654-JK(GAD) of 2020, dated June 19, 2020. However, the Minister Incharge said that the recruitment for these positions is currently under active consideration.
