Shopian, March 11: Master Abdul Rehman Bhat, a highly respected religious scholar and former Tehsil Education Officer, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday in Srinagar. He was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Shopian, where a large number of people gathered to offer funeral prayers of the deceased. A revered figure in the education sector, Bhat played a pivotal role in shaping the academic landscape during his tenure in the Education Department. After his retirement, he devoted himself to religious preaching, guiding and inspiring thousands through his profound knowledge and wisdom. His teachings left a lasting impact on society, encouraging many to follow a path of righteousness and moral integrity. He was the uncle of Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, Director Sericulture J&K, and the father of Dr. Tariq Ahmad Bhat, HoD Medicine, JVC (SKIMS) Bemina.
