Srinagar, Mar 07: What started as a simple idea between two friends has now grown into a thriving online business. Arfa Khan and Jasiya Fayaz, undergraduate students from Amar Singh College, have successfully turned their passion for fashion into Thrift Treasure—a popular thrift store that delivers stylish and affordable clothing to customers’ doorsteps.

One year ago, Arfa and Jasiya were juggling part-time jobs but were dissatisfied with their earnings. “We thought, why not start something of our own instead of working for someone else?” she said.

Determined to create something meaningful, they pooled their savings and launched Thrift Treasure on Instagram.

Their business quickly gained traction. “Our stock would sell out within a day or two. People loved the idea of getting stylish clothes at affordable prices,” Arfa said. Encouraged by the overwhelming response, they reinvested their earnings to expand their inventory.

The core idea behind *Thrift Treasure* is to cater to women who struggle to find time for shopping due to their busy schedules. To maintain quality at reasonable prices, Arfa and Jasiya source clothing in bulk from outside the state.

“If you buy the same items from other shops, they would be much more expensive,” Jasiya explained.

Unlike traditional retail businesses, they never felt the need to open a physical store.

“We receive so many orders online that we manage everything from home and deliver directly to customers,” Arfa said. This approach not only helps them save costs but also provides a seamless shopping experience for their buyers.

A major factor behind their success has been the unwavering support from their families.

“Our families encouraged us from the beginning, and that gave us the confidence to keep going,” Jasiya said. Their dedication and perseverance have paid off, as Thrift Treasure continues to grow in popularity.

Even after a year, their stock still sells out within days, proving the strong demand for their collection. “This is just the beginning. We have big dreams for Thrift Treasure” Arfa said with optimism.

Through their determination, innovation, and belief in themselves, Arfa and Jasiya have shown that success has no age limit.
