Jammu, March 5: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed J&K, Anand Jain, Wednesday conducted a comprehensive review of the IRP 24th Battalion at Ritti, Udhampur, assessing the progress of ongoing construction for the battalion headquarters. The visit aimed to ensure the timely completion of infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency.
Accompanied by SSP Udhampur Amod Ashok Nagpure and Commandant IRP 24th Battalion Mohd Aslam , the ADGP was accorded a Guard of Honour upon arrival. He carried out an extensive inspection of the battalion premises, including units at Sui Udhampur, Ramnagar Railway Station, and SKAPA Udhampur. During the visit, he took stock of ongoing construction work, identified key challenges, and instructed engineers to expedite the project’s completion to facilitate the smooth functioning of the battalion.
A darbar was held for battalion officers and personnel, providing a platform to discuss service-related issues and welfare concerns. The ADGP issued on-the-spot directives to resolve genuine grievances and encouraged active participation in ongoing refresher courses to enhance skills and preparedness. He further emphasised the importance of physical fitness, regular cleanliness drives, and medical check-ups to maintain high health and hygiene standards. Acknowledging the dedication of the battalion, the ADGP lauded their efforts and reaffirmed the department’s commitment to improving working conditions and welfare facilities for personnel.
