Srinagar, Feb 21: The Director of Colleges, Higher Education, UT of Jammu & Kashmir, Dr. Sheikh Ajaz Bashir, visited Government Degree College (GDC) Dangiwacha Friday to assess the college’s overall functioning and infrastructure progress. His visit aimed to review the construction of the main college building, the newly erected pre-fabricated huts, and the approach road leading to the campus.

Accompanied by Javid Ahmad Dar, Assistant Director of Planning, Higher Education, Dr. Bashir conducted a thorough inspection of the ongoing projects. Key officials from various departments, including R&B, revenue, SICOP, and irrigation and flood control, were present during the review.

Following his inspection, the director of colleges expressed his satisfaction with the progress made so far. He directed the Principal of the college, Prof. Imtiyaz Ahmad Parray, to ensure the immediate relocation of academic activities to the newly constructed prefabricated huts. The aim is to provide a more conducive environment for students and staff to carry out their academic duties without hindrance.

Dr. Bashir also engaged in discussions with several local stakeholders, including members of the Civil Society of Dangiwacha. He stressed the importance of ensuring unhindered access to the college and urged the owners of the approach road to avoid any disruptions in the movement of students and staff members.
