Doda, Oct 17: The Department of Youth Services and Sports Doda organized an Inter Zonal District Level Youth Festival here on Thursday in the Indoor Stadium. The event was held under the direction of Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K UT, Rajinder Singh Tara, and was guided by Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu Ved Prakash.
The festival witnessed the presence of District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Doda, Sunil Kumar and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) Training of Trainers (TOT) Jugnu Bhagat.
Before the start of the event, the DYSSO addressed the participants, offering them guidance for the competition and extending his best wishes. He encouraged them to display their talent with full enthusiasm in the festival. The festival provided a platform for youth to showcase their skills in various cultural and creative categories.
Approximately 120 participants, both students and non-students, from all 10 zones of the district, competed in the festival. They displayed their talent in local folk songs, folk dances, painting, handicrafts, essay writing, speech, solo singing, and solo dancing. The vibrant performances highlighted the rich cultural heritage and creativity of the youth of Doda.
A screening committee, consisting of experts Zafferullah Khan (BM), Anjum Reiz (PET), and Ravinder Singh (PET), was tasked with selecting the best contingent from the event.
