๐๐๐ก, ๐๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐: In a significant step towards combating the growing menace of cybercrimes, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) Cyber Leh conducted a comprehensive Cyber Security Awareness Programme at the Siachen Base. The initiative was aimed at enhancing the understanding of cybersecurity threats among personnel of various units of the Siachen Brigade.
The program covered critical topics, including Sextortion, Fraud Impersonation (posing as police officers), Bank Impersonation Calls, Loan App Fraud, and Medical Emergency Frauds, among others. The session was tailored to equip the personnel with practical knowledge to identify and respond to various forms of cyber threats that they might encounter.
Approximately 200 Jawans were in attendance, reflecting the high level of interest and commitment of the armed forces personnel to proactively tackle cyber security issues. The workshop emphasized the importance of vigilance and reporting suspicious activities, thereby ensuring that all personnel are well-prepared to safeguard themselves against potential cyber-attacks.
The District Police Leh reaffirm our commitment to continue working closely with the armed forces to build a robust framework for cyber security in the region. This initiative serves as a strong foundation for further collaboration and awareness programs across other key units.
