Srinagar, Sept 17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s fans celebrated his 74th birthday at Lal Chowk in Srinagar and distributed Kashmiri Kehwa among the people.
President of ‘All India Modi Fans Association’, Jamal Budgami told Rising Kashmir that this celebration is not just about PM’s Modi birthday; it is tribute to the leadership and his vision. “We chose to serve Kashmiri Kehwa as a part of the celebration because the Prime Minister enjoys it.”
“I hope PM Modi will consider releasing the wife of religious preacher Sarjan Barkati, whose daughter is contesting elections from the Beerwah segment against former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. All those who are imprisoned in various jails should be released and there should be one time relaxation for all,” he said.
Jamal also said the PM should also consider waiving off the KCC loans for farmers and ensure 24/7 electricity during the harsh winters in Kashmir. People will remember his leadership for decades and he has never disappointed anyone, he said.
He also called for a special package for transporters who have been adversely affected by government policies, emphasizing the need for support to mitigate their hardships.
“Modi’s heart is like a sea, I hope he will consider these demands during his upcoming visit to Kashmir on Sep 19. He is a real messiah for the people of the valley as peace has returned after the gap of 30 years,” he said.
Jamal further said that if he is granted a meeting with Prime Minister Modi on September 19 in Srinagar, he will invite him to his home in Budgam, where he will serve traditional Kashmiri cuisine.
“During World Pheran Day last year, I prepared a special pheran for PM Modi, which was greatly appreciated by the people of the Valley,” he added.
Jamal said people are widely appreciating Prime Minister Modi’s policies across various sectors, particularly his initiatives for farmers, which have received considerable praise.
“PM Modi’s efforts to transform Kashmir into one of the world’s premier tourist destinations are also being recognized. His leadership has resonated deeply with the public, earning him a reputation as a true ambassador of the people,” he added.
