Srinagar, Sept 11: Er Aijaz Hussain, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for the Lalchowk Constituency (22), conducted a public outreach initiative on Wednesday.
He met with residents in Solina as part of a door-to-door campaign. “This effort underscores his commitment to directly engage with the electorate and address their concerns ahead of the assembly elections,” a statement issued here said.
During his interactions, Er Hussain highlighted key aspects of his manifesto, focusing on local development, youth empowerment, infrastructure enhancement and sustainable progress. He outlined his vision for “transforming Lal Chowk into a modern urban hub while preserving its cultural heritage”.
Key points from the manifesto include the allocation of 5 marla plots to landless individuals, regularisation of illegal colonies and rehabilitation of street vendors.
